Kayla Wong
Ms Kayla Wong is a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) who works with women and children and their families in a hospital setting to address areas such as the neonatal care, neurorehabilitation, pain, cancer care, and palliative care.
Over the course of her career, Kayla has worked closely with several multidisciplinary teams and has been involved in award winning projects such as the Psychosocial and Supportive Care Program (PSCP) for children with cancer, and the child-friendly hospital initiative, KidsDream. She has also initiated groups such as Beansprouts, a social and communication developmental programme, and Creative Arts for Persons in Extraordinary Situation (CAPES), a trauma-informed mental wellness group. She has presented both locally and internationally on her work.
She received her music therapy training from the University of Melbourne and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Music Therapy at Temple University. Kayla has also received advanced training in Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) and Rhythm, Breath and Lullaby (RBL).
